The Woodlands Children’s Museum, which shut its doors temporarily last October, has signed a lease for a new location and plans to reopen in July.
The child-friendly museum was located in The Woodlands Mall at 1201 Lake Woodlands Dr. until late last year when its space was earmarked for a large anchor store, according to the museum’s Web site.
The museum, which typically has 65,000 visitors a year, has found a new home. It leased approximately 11,000 square feet in the Panther Creek Village Square, which is located at 4775 W. Panther Creek Drive. The 166,000-square-foot shopping center is now 98 percent leased.
Denise Ksiazek of Cypressbrook Co. represented The Woodlands Children’s Museum in the transaction. Regency Centers, which owns the retail center, was represented in-house by Ben Brown.
Once it reopens this summer, The Woodlands Children’s Museum will offer educational and empowerment activities and exhibits for children and their families. The facility will also be available for birthday parties and other events.
