Dallas-based 7-Eleven Inc. announced Friday that it had completed the acquistion of 51 North Texas sites from Irving-based Exxon Mobil Corp.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Included among the sites, all in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, are two unused parcels of land, 7-Eleven said in a release. Most, however, are stations that will be rebranded as 7-Eleven stores and will retain the Exxon (NYSE: XOM) gasoline brand, the company said.

“This acquisition fits well with our aggressive growth strategy,” Robbie Radant, 7-Eleven’s new vice president of mergers and acquisitions, said in a release. “We met our goal of opening 650 stores in 2011, and with this acquisition 2012 is off to a great start.”

7-Eleven said it will start remodeling and rebranding the sites soon. Most of the work should be done by the end of 2012, the company said.
