Anadarko Petroleum Corp. NYSE: APC) has talked with architects about developing additional office space on its 14.5-acre campus in The Woodlands, the Houston Chronicle reported.
About a third of the campus acreage is vacant and about half of its 4,800 employees worldwide work at the headquarters in The Woodlands.
Currently, the independent oil and gas company occupies more than 1 million square feet in two buildings there.
Irving-based Exxon Mobil Corp. (NYSE: XOM) announced plans in June to develop a large campus near Interstate 45 and the Hardy Toll Road in north Harris County.
