The Situs Cos. of Houston has been acquired by Helios AMC, a San Francisco-based special servicer that provides commercial real estate management and investment services.
The combined company will go by the Situs name and be based in Houston. Situs principals Ralph Howard, Steve Powel, and Martin Bronstein will remain with the company, founded 26 years ago, that offers a wide range of commercial real estate services.
Helios CEO D. Keith Johnson will serve as Situs CEO, splitting his time between New York and Houston.
The combined company has more than 400 employees in a variety of offices inside and outside of the United States. The majority of the people were already employed by Situs.
Duff & Phelps LLC served as financial advisor to The Situs Cos. on the transaction, and Ranieri Real Estate Partners LP served as financial advisor to Helios AMC.
