California-based Caliber Collision Centers will move its corporate headquarters to 16,397 square feet at 401 E. Corporate Drive in Lewisville.

The relocation of the company and its 60 corporate positions is planned for mid-November.

Caliber will move because of Dallas-Fort Worth's affordable metropolitan area, which will support the company's growth throughout the United States, said Steve Grimshaw, president and CEO of the company.

"Our relocation to Texas allows us to consolidate management spread across a number of locations in California and Texas while taking advantage of Dallas-Fort Worth's central location, business-friendly environment and large, diversified workforce," Grimshaw said in a statement.

Caliber was one of many companies to recently announce its relocation to the Dallas area, including restaurant concept firm Bar Louie, CCS Medical and Golden Living.

Caliber was represented by Andrew Taguwa of Jones Lang LaSalle    . Buddy Tompkins of CASE Commercial Real Estate Partners represented the landlord, GL Corporate Pointe LP.

The company's goal was close proximity to Interstate 35 and exterior building signage to expand Caliber's brand in the Southwest, said Taguwa, executive vice president at Jones Lang LaSalle.
