South Park Mall, one of San Antonio’s oldest regional malls, is sporting a new tenant, and a new look for a couple of existing tenants.
New to South Park is Journeys Kidz, which took the space previously occupied by affiliated retailer Journeys. Journeys Kidz is part of the JCPenney Wing — the portion of the mall that is anchored by the Plano-based retailer.
Journeys, meanwhile, has opened a bigger store in the Old Navy Wing of South Park Mall.
Journeys, which is based in Nashville, is a retailer of footwear and accessories for the teen consumer. Journeys Kidz offers the same goods — but for infants, on up to tweens (those under the age of 13).
Another existing tenant, Bath & Body Works , has debuted a newly remodeled store as well — next door to the new Journeys.
Built in 1969, South Park Mall is currently ranked No. 6 on the Business Journal’s list of Largest San Antonio Shopping Centers — with a total of 90 stores. The mall spans 790,000 square feet along Southwest Military Drive, on the city’s South Side.
