Liberty Property Trust has begun construction on two speculative industrial buildings in Liberty Northwest Business Center, the new brand identity for the former Beltway at Bammel business park.
An 84,000-square-foot building will be located at 5500 N. Sam Houston Parkway West and a 128,000-square-foot facility will rise at 14031 Hollister Road. Both buildings will seek LEED certification as sustainable structures, be able to accommodate office space and share a 200-foot truck court and parking lot.
Both facilities are expected to be finished in January 2012. Construction is taking place on the company’s remaining 28 acres in the industrial park, located at the northeast corner of Beltway 8 and Highway 249. Following development, there will be room for up to four more buildings in Liberty Northwest Business Center.
Perry Seeberger with Seeberger Architects is the projects’ architect, Terra Associates Inc. is the engineer and Cadence McShane Construction is the general contractor. Jay Ohanesian with Liberty Property Trust is the project manager.
