Sundt Construction Inc. has opened a satellite office in El Paso to support work underway at Fort Bliss. The office will function as an extension of the company’s full-service office in San Antonio and will be the hub for future private and public sector work in West Texas.
Sundt employees will work on housing projects, tactical facilities and infrastructure, training ranges and tank trails.
“According to Forbes rankings, Texas features four of America’s top 10 boomtowns. In light of that, we wanted to position our company to best serve the state’s widespread construction needs,” says Senior Vice President and Texas District Manager John Carlson, who leads the San Antonio office. “Based on the projects we have underway, Sundt’s plans for growth, as well as growth projections for Texas, it made sense for us to open an El Paso office to serve the western portion of the state.”
Sundt has operated in the Texas market for more than 40 years and has completed $1 billion in project work. Currently, the company has work underway at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio and Fort Hood in Killeen. The company is also building the Public Safety Answering Point at Brooks City-Base in San Antonio.
Sundt is an employee-owned general contracting company and currently ranks the 45th largest construction company in the United States by trade publication ENR. Sundt is based in Tempe, Ariz.
