The area between the Galleria Dallas and Valley View Center has been watched closely in the past few years, primarily because of Valley View Center which went into receivership in 2010.
But a group of property owners in the area just north of Interstate 635 have formed a group, unofficially dubbed the Valley View Galleria Group, that is working to form a long-term redevelopment plan for the 430-acre area.
“The group’s goal is to come up with a vision of what the area might look like in the next five to 10 years,” said Linda Koop, city council member for District 11, which includes the area. “This is not unlike the vision put together for the Lake Highlands Town Center, or the Arts District or Uptown.”
