Austin was chosen as one of 10 "up and coming" commercial real estate markets by American Law Media’s Real Estate Forum magazine.
The publication, which is marking its 65th year as a commercial real estate source, gushed over the Texas capital's growing job market and increasingly lucrative music tourism industry.
Real Estate Forum said “when it comes to employment, the technology sector was leading the charge, with Samsung planning to add 300 engineer jobs in Austin over the next 12 months, as well as ongoing expansions at Dell, Freeescale Semiconductor Inc., and IBM ."
The magazine also noted that about 50,000University of Texas students are earning degrees just north of downtown. They provide a steady stream of talent, readily available to fill new positions, officials said.
