Two developers planning 1,000-plus-room hotels in downtown Austin released design renderings over the weekend.
Web publication CultureMap Houston posted renderings of the projects, one of which wasapproved for $4.3 million in fee waivers, as reported by the Austin Business Journal. One of the properties would tower more than 50 stories — taller than the 47-story Waldorf-Astoria in New York and the 45-story Wynn in Las Vegas, the CultureMap article said.
