Invacare Corp., a medical equipment supplier, has doubled the size of its distribution center in the Great Southwest Industrial District with a new long-term lease.
After a five-month search, Invacare this spring will occupy an 87,508-square-foot building at 1825 Westpark Drive in Grand Prairie.
Invacare, based in Elyria, Ohio, manufactures and distributes home- and long-term care medical products. In 2009, it was named to the Fortune 1000 list and Industry Week's U.S. Manufacturing 500.
The company markets its products to 80 countries, employing 6,000 people worldwide.
Kevin Santaularia, president and CEO of Dallas-based Bradford Commercial Real Estate Services, and Michael Spain, vice president and managing partner, represented the tenant. Canon Shoults of Holt Lunsford Commercial represented the landlord, Realty Associations Fund VIII.
