Newfield Exploration Co. is moving its corporate headquarters to The Woodlands.
Houston-based Newfield (NYSE: NFX) has leased 90,000 square feet in 4 Waterway Square to house its corporate group, said sources close to the deal.
Newfield will also maintain a presence at its current location in Greenspoint at 363 N. Sam Houston Parkway East. Newfield executives have not decided how much space they will keep on the North Belt, sources said.
David Sills, corporate administrative manager at Newfield, said approximately 130 employees are expected to relocate to The Woodlands. Additional details about the move will be released soon, he said.
The 216,000-square-foot office building at 4 Waterway was completed a year ago by The Woodlands Development Co.
