Pronto Insurance Agency opened an automobile and homeowners insurance claims center in North San Antonio that employs 50 people.
Pronto leased 5,000 square feet of space at 12000 Network Blvd. to house its claims centers. The Brownsville, Texas-based insurance company picked San Antonio because of the city’s bilingual workforce. San Antonio is also home to a number of people with customer service/claims experience.
Bill Taylor, who previously worked at Progressive Insurance, is heading up the new claims division in San Antonio as operations manager. In the future, Pronto plans to seek a larger, more permanent claims facility to house up to 150 claims personnel.
Pronto sells auto and homeowner’s insurance policies at more than 80 statewide locations and inside select H-E-B locations in Austin, Corpus Christi, Rio Grande Valley, Laredo, San Antonio, El Paso and Houston markets.
