Research Hotel Partners LP will build the Houston-area’s third Hyatt Place on a 4.3-acre site in The Woodlands.
The Woodlands Hyatt Place will be built at Research Forest Drive and Grogan’s Mill Road. It will be developed by Houston-based New Horizons Hospitality.
The hotel includes 50 guestrooms and suites along with 6,000 square feet of banquet and meeting space.
Construction is expected to start later this year with completion scheduled for mid-2013.
Todd N. Edmonds and Cody R. Christoph of Colliers International represented The Woodlands Development Co. in the sale of the land to Research Hotel Partners.
A Hyatt Place opened in Sugar Land at the end of 2010, while the original location is near George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
