Texas State University picked Satterfield & Pontikes Construction Inc. as construction manager for an $8.1 million office project.
The company's San Antonio Business Unit will build the Department of Housing and Residential Life Office headquarters. The building will consolidate administration staff for student housing, as well as certain maintenance functions.
The 40,528-square-foot project will house offices, student use space, common areas, maintenance offices and shops, warehouse space and parking for visitors and maintenance fleets. The property sits on a steep slope in the middle of several occupied facilities.
Satterfield & Pontikes, founded in 1989, has completed several projects in Central Texas. The company recently won a $41.5 million contract to build a new joint military reserve facility near Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
