Austin and Houston developer Partners in Building LP has purchased a 121-acre property for a new residential project near Lakeway.
The gated community, called the Canyons on Lake Travis, is slated for 57 homes on about an acre each, according to a spokeswoman. The developer purchased the property just south of Mansfield Dam near Lakeway at auction in November through its partner Norwood Homes Inc. The land already has needed permitting to begin construction.
Houses will be built to suit, using custom offerings, but starting in the high $400s, officials said. Partners in Building is currently completing landscaping, front gate features and common areas. The neighborhood is in the Lake Travis Independent School District.
Founded in 1958, Partners in Building has built homes in Bella Montagna, Escalera Ranch, Steiner Ranch and many others in Austin.
