Westlake Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery will soon unveil its new 55,000-square-foot headquarters and surgery center on Bee Caves Road.
The medical dermatology, cosmetic and plastic surgery provider will move Nov. 22 to the expanded facility at 8825 Bee Caves Road, about two miles west of its current primary location. The company, founded close to nine years ago, also operates four satellite offices.
The project was paid for through lender Plains Capital Bank and a small business loan from the federal stimulus package, according to a press release. The Spanish mission-style building was designed by Michael G. Imber Architect David Bessent, N-Vizion and Michael Hsu Design. Zapalac/Reed Construction Co. was the builder for the project and American Realty manged the project.
Westlake Dermatology will occupy two-thirds of the building, including a surgical suite, 30 exam rooms, a spa with nine treatment rooms, a private waiting area, dressing rooms and a patient education room. The building will also house an 1,800-square-foot skin care and makeup retail store, slated to open next year. The site will employ about 60 people, including 12 hired earlier this year.
The rest of the space could be leased to other synergistic, professional tenants or possibly a small café, officials said.
