Cumulus Media will move four Dallas-Fort Worth radio stations to Victory Park, where the broadcaster has leased 20,248 square feet of office space.
Atlanta-based Cumulus, one of the largest radio broadcast companies in the country, will move KTCK-AM 1310 The Ticket, KPLX-FM 99.5 The Wolf, KLIF-AM 570 and KLIF-FM 93.3 into the Victory Plaza office building in July. The stations are now located at 3500 Maple Ave.
The Cumulus stations will join WFAA-TV Channel 8 as co-media anchors of the Victory Park development.
The Victory Plaza office building includes two five-story buildings totaling 185,000 square feet flanking the AT&T Plaza at the steps of American Airlines Center. Office space there leases for $28 to $29 per square foot per year, plus electricity.
The location is ideal because American Airlines Center hosts sporting and entertainment events that reinforce Cumulus' sports and entertainment brands, said Dan Bennett, vice president/market manager of Cumulus-Dallas.
“Victory Plaza is an ideal fit for our four great brands," he said.
In addition to WFAA-TV, other notable tenants include Hillwood, GDA Architects, Carson Private Capital and Public Strategies.
“We are pleased to add Cumulus to our impressive roster of corporate tenants,” said Lance Fair, vice president of Victory Park. “The radio stations, I-93, The Ticket, KLIF and the Wolf will create a flurry of daily activity for the entire development.”
Bill Brokaw, vice president of Cousins Properties, represented building owner Victory Park UST Joint Venture I LP, and Jeff Ellerman, Phil Puckett, Michelle Donaldson and Robert Blount of CB Richard Ellis represented Cumulus Media Inc.
"We're thrilled to death," Brokaw said. "It's a great mutual fit. This is another testament to the advantages of Victory Park in the long-term. The office sector of Victory is still a very positive component."
Brokaw said he expects more major announcements of new tenants at Victory Park soon.
