A former department-store marketing executive is lending her expertise to two regional malls in San Antonio.
Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group (NYSE: SPG) has named Glenda Garcia as assistant director of marketing and business development for area retail centers Ingram Park and Rolling Oaks Mall.
Garcia will be key to creating and implementing strategic marketing campaigns for the malls, as well as helping to maintain the malls’ relationships with tenants and the greater San Antonio community. Garcia was most recently the public relations coordinator at the local Neiman Marcus department store.
“(Garcia) is skilled in creating strategic partnerships and opportunities to enhance the profile of the (shopping centers),” notes Deanna Dancy, vice president of marketing for Simon’s portfolio of properties in the Southwest.
Ingram Park Mall is located at 6301 NW Loop 410 on the city’s Northwest Side. Built in 1979, the retail center ranked third on the Business Journal’s most recent list of Largest San Antonio Shopping Centers — based by number of retail stores — with a total of 150 stores.
Rolling Oaks Mall took the No. 6 spot on that same list, with a total of 100 retail stores. The center debuted in 1988 on the far Northeast Side, at 6909 N. Loop 1604 East.
