Central Parking System Inc. has purchased Austin-based Focus Point Parking Inc. for an undisclosed amount.
Focus specializes in parking facility remote monitoring and management for clients in Houston, Seattle, Wash. and Atlanta. As part of the deal, Central assumes the Focus Point brand and the company's Austin command center. Several key employees will stay on through the deal, including the Austin company's founder Clyde Wilson.
Central Parking, which is one of the largest providers of parking facilities in Austin, is based in Nashville, Tenn. and operates 2,300 facilities, containing 1.1 million spaces. It posted $1.9 billion in revenue last year.
