Round Rock's La Frontera Square mixed-use development was saved from foreclosure through a deal with Dallas-based Tonti Properties.
The property includes 349 apartment units and 46,159 square feet of retail. Tonti purchased the note secured from BBVA Compass Bank for an undisclosed amount. The company assumed the title for the property on May 3 through a deed in lieu of foreclosure.
The nine-acre property was developed by Cincinnati-based North American Properties Inc.
The development is part of the 328-acre, mixed-use La Frontera development at the confluence of I-35, State Highway 45 North and Mopac Expressway. It is owned by the La Frontera LP, including William S. Smalling, Donald G. Martin and William V. Boecker.
